Muzeum Etnograficzne w Zielonej Górze (Ochla)

        The Ethnographic Museum in Zielona Gora is a special place - situated on the edge of the forest, by a stream, it creates amazing scenery of an ancient village. One can witness many unusual sights of folk culture of the Lubusz region. For instance, wooden cottages from the turn of the eighteenth and nineteenth century transferred from the area of Lower Lusatia and traditional rural buildings from the area of western Greater Poland. One of the oldest in Poland wooden huts from Potrzebowo which dates back to the year 1675 is among them.
        The museum has the only open-air exhibition in Poland presenting wine architecture and the largest preserved wooden press. Two vineyards are grown next to the eighteenth-century tower with Budachów wine. The first, with a stakes technique; the second, with a modern form, tree rows. A typical, underground wine cellar is recreated near the tower. The museum organizes a variety of themed outdoor events and workshops related to rural life. Its offer includes approx. 20 educational workshops. You can choose from activities related to the old household duties such as flour, butter, linen production, and more. "Grape Harvest in the Museum" and "Feast of Honey," are the traditional outdoor events organized in museum. They are accompanied by a fair of wines, honey and presentations by Lubusz winemakers and beekeepers, sale of vine plants, accessories for wine production, fair of handicrafts, as well as performances of regional groups.
